  The FIFA 2014 World Cup by Philip Richard

Soccer is played in more countries than any other, making it the most popular sport in the world.  Every four years the World Cup soccer tournament is held.
This integrated activity unit for grades 4-8 will enable the students to improve their skills in research, geography, creative writing, applying mathematical concepts and have some fun at the same time.
The unit consists of work sheets for group work, Forty activity cards, suggestions for whole class and group activities and a rubric for evaluation.

This unit for grades 3-8 was created to familiarize students with the history and aims of the Winter Olympics. It can be used for whole class, small groups or independent activities.
It consists of a series of sixty activity cards to be used for research, creative writing, mathematics and art. Students are asked to research countries participating, individual competitors and sports disciplines.

Pet Pals is a unit written for grades K - 2 , that will familiarize students with differences between pets and animals, while learning that certain kinds of animals make better pets.

This integrated unit is intended for grades 2 - 3, as this is when the "concept of community" is generally presented in social studies.  Students learn about rules, transportation, history and geography, rights and responsibilities and civic involvement.
The unit was written to be taught in eight segments of three hours, but could be easily adapted for an extended time period.  The unit consists of a series of detailed lesson plans with clearly defined goals and objectives, using the novel Ralph S. Mouse by Beverly Cleary as its core novel.  
The lesson plans are organized in steps that are easy to follow and include objectives, rationale, motivation, reading activities and suggestions for evaluating the work.  The unit also contains a list of novels, activity sheets, peer and self evaluation sheets and student record sheets.
